I am curious as to why he went to prep school in the first place. Was this always his plan to skip college?

Probably has to do more with the FBI investigation and what's come out about his recruitment at Louisville. If what's been reported is true, he probably wouldn't have any college eligibility.

Exactly, the announcement was per his agents, plural.
