Simons will be a 1st rounder,IMO, maybe in the late teens. Young, super athletic shooting guards rarely fall down the draft charts. Latest feedback was obviously pretty clear, because he went ahead and formally announced his agent.
This is a good thing. Our new staff didn't need to waste time on Simons, when him playing a year of college was very unlikely anyway.

Selfishly, I wish we could have gotten an Amare Stoudamire type commitment for a week or 2 to give a little more momentum to recruiting. However, it's possible that might have hurt the recruitment of other players instead of help.
