RE: The contract?
Goodman is so out of touch. He loves to try to be controversial with his hot takes. But he displays zero in-depth knowledge, local flavor, or awareness of the subtleties of the programs he talks about.

all his kids will have gone pro by then and he will be applying for an NBA job to be with them.

An NBA job means he will have won or at least come close to a championship then.

Count me in. I will gladly wish him well.

RE: The contract?
There was a poster on here who continually laid out a scenario that included a three year test run for Penny as a nothing to lose situation.

Seems the powers that be thought the same.

In my mind, paying Tubby $1.5MM and Penny $1.5MM a year, that money was already allocated. U of M is not having to dig any deeper to pay for this change.

There is only one guy on his team who will likely leave before he is a junior.

Yeah cause 1 team will have enough picks and will want to draft every Memphis player.
He will likely get a extension after the first year.
