yup, we beat UCLA in NYC and they got us in Oakland.

Yep, that UCLA game in Oakland has to be one of the ugliest games I've ever witnessed in person or otherwise. Neither team could hit the broadside of a barn and of course we were the 1 seed playing the 2 seed in their home freaking state...still salty after all these years.

I do not remember the excuse spewed, but I remember it was wholly inadequate.

We were the lowest rated of the 1 seeds. Duke got Atlanta, UCONN got to go to DC, Villanova got Minneapolis. We got shipped out.

Zags should have taken care of UCLA the round before anyways.
