Let's hope that is true.

Man, I hope that's true. This team could really be something next season if everyone comes back.

Agreed. McAdoo was the only one playing for at least 2/3 of the game.

He impressed the hell out of me tonight. Very confident in his abilities, but also kept his head up and moved the ball around. He's not as athletic as Ray Lee, but seems to have better basketball instincts. You can tell he had some good coaching along the way.

His ability to create off the dribble and stretch the floor is what we were really missing early on in the season. He should be locked in as the starting SG next year, and our offense will benefit from it.

Yep, and that is the way sports (and life) goes.

One moves on. And someone else steps up to take his place.

That would be great if Thompson comes back- not really sure which way that will go despite what Murphy said. As for Bond, that will be a HUGE loss! Just as impactful as if Thompson leaves just in different ways.

The only way I see losing Bond being easier to weather is that Groce is a solid successor. In a lot of ways he is similar yo Bond in that his game is so diverse. Not nearly as athletic or quick, he still has some hops and speed while being stronger than Bond too.

Still, I am so bummed I won’t get to see one of those Bond dunks or steals again.

Horrible end to what had been six weeks of solid basketball you cannot play like you expect wins to be handed to you on paper we we were going to win this tournament guess that's why we play the games

With two guys coming in how does everyone come back?

I think one could argue that Groce is MORE athletic than Bond. Did you see that dunk yesterday? He was still going up when he dunked it. The kid can fly.

What separates the two right now are confidence and instincts. Tim Bond knows exactly what he's good at, and can change the game on the defensive end. Groce has the potential to be a similar player (with a better looking jump shot). Time will tell if he meets that potential or not. He'll have a great opportunity to grow next season.

Thompson was the most disappointing part of the game for me. Got eaten up defensively by much smaller guys. No intensity at all until it was too late (under 5 minutes).

He should be dominating that level of competition.

bond can also play at top speed, which is unusual for guys that fast. he can dribble up the court at full speed and still finish or pass. he's able to hit those ugly running 10 foot shots that always make me cringe before they go in. the only reason he's able to get those shots is because he's faster than everyone else. hopefully Groce can harness his athleticism in the same way.

4-12 on team free throws. Sick. Did they warm up? In Texas is the free throw line farther or shorter ? No! We all saw the movie Hoosiers. You put Ellison on Jones shoulders and drop the tape measure Murphy! Murphy should of made Thompson and Jackson make 100 free throws before coming back to hotel while the rest of the team watched as Murphy grilled them $2,500 worth of love. Box out better and fight for the ball. Have the whole team watch “Bad Boys” 30 for 30 the night before tip off. Pretend Cujo is running behind the loose ball. Wake up!
