I feel terrible for you guys as well, but I think you guys will be fine because you have a coach who can lead a team deep in the tournament. I've seen nothing from Mick Cronin that makes me believe he will ever lead a team to the Final Four.

Yeah but this goes back all the way to Huggins. Seems like a Cincinnati thing.

It extends further than just college bball as well, it's the curse of Bo Jackson.

You've piqued my curiosity. What does Bo have to do with it?

The Bengals were good in the late 80s early 90s going to the super bowl twice, but on that fateful Sunday in 1991 the Bengals would injure the young star Bo Jackson. He would never play again. The Bengals have not won a postseason game since then and all of our citys teams have discovered new and brutal ways to be knocked out of the playoffs.

In that case you had it coming. Bo could've been a Hall of Famer for the Royals.

Wait, weren't you complaining about how hard a bracket Houston got?

Does your post entitled "Bleep bleep bleepity-bleep" ring a bell?

My response:

"We got a great draw.

The 2 seed Carolina lost TEN games. Wichita is better than them.

The 3 seed Michigan is worse than Cincy.

And Xavier is the worst one seed."

And you argued with me. Now, you are crying that we had such an easy road to the Final Four.

Grow the hell up.

RE: Now I'm really depressed...
Yes, San Diego State was every bit as tough as I feared, though they honestly shouldn't have come that close as the game was played..

Michigan was arguably the second best team in the entire West region and after the A&M game and during the Florida State game look every bit the part. But they looked terrible last weekend and UH had them beat, regardless of what else they do from here on out. Win that, and all UH had to do was beat A&M and Florida State to get to play Loyola two hours from home in the Final Four.

Houston could have been playing for all the marbles if they closed Michigan out. I honestly didn't think they'd make the Sweet 16 but as the events unfolded Saturday and Sunday, they should have and much, much more.

RE: Now I'm really depressed...
Houston's would-be path to the national title game:

11. SDSU (beaten)

3. Michigan (had beaten)

7. Texas A&M

9. Florida State

11. Loyola Chicago

1. Villanova/Kansas

03-banghead

I wouldn't have even minded a semifinal loss to Cincinnati.

I don't think the curse came from Bo Jackson. I think it came from Nike. We killed their golden goose.

Now THAT is a believable conspiracy theory...
