Which AAC team suffered the worst NCAA loss this year?
Figured this thread could be therapeutic for ailing fanbases...
  • Wichita State
Lose to a #13 seed from a 1-bid conference with one of their deepest and most talented teams.
  • Houston
Play their hearts out for 40 minutes only to miss a game-icing free throw with seconds left and lose on a 30-foot buzzer beater.
  • Cincinnati
Dominate all game then completely fall apart by blowing a 22 point second half lead.

WSU had the worst loss of the 3, but the way Cincy lost has to take the cake I think.

I didn’t really feel that bad about our loss. Marshall (the team) is terrible but so were we and I felt like we were gonna lose the whole second half. If I could pick our way to lose, Houston would be the one I picked last.

As I see it....

WSU lost to the worst team of the three, but it was a competitive game that went back and forth. It was a pretty standard March Madness upset.

Houston was also in a competitive game, but with a 3-seed. The choke at the FT line will be haunting, but Houston can still be proud of the gutsy performance and return to the NCAA's. Another standard March Madness loss.

Cincinnati fans had to endure 15 minutes of horror as their team completely folded like a wet noodle and gave up a 22 point lead..... with likely the all-time easiest route to the Final 4 on the line. That has to be the worst one.

Wichita didn't show up.

Houston choked.

Cincinnati had a meltdown of epic proportions.

But all 3 made the NCAA tourney, so there's that.

Based on seed lines, Cincinnati and Wichita each cost us 2 credits, whereas Houston broke even.

Can't vote right now, too much disappointment. A loss is not a win, so I'm not sure it really matters which one was the worst of the bunch.
