There is no payout. If they're lucky, the travel expenses will be covered but that's about it.

For the men, conferences get $ based on the number of games the conference plays.

BTW, U Conn just set a record for most points in a quarter of an NCAA game. Former record of 45 was held by..... CMU. In 2015. I did not know that.

After listening to the announcers talking ad nauseum about the "Lady Tigers," my daughter asked me if the LSU men's team is referred to as the "Gentleman Tigers."
