It is a shame Joe Chealey is still hurt from the CAA title game. He has only played about 10 minutes as a decoy and he is peg legging his way through it.
Chealey was the CAA preseason player of the year and the kind of player you want in tight games as he can get to the lane at will and makes more FT’s than 99% of the players in the country.

If CoC wins without a healthy Chealey that would be an even bigger story.

Auburn...0 for 13 from outside the arc in the 1st half...shooting 28% from the field. With those miserable shooting percentages, CoC should be up. CoC plays good D as we all know.

I hope the Cougars can pull the upset. I don't think any additional NCAAT credits (read: $$$) have been awarded to the CAA for wins since JMU won the 16v16 game a few years ago.

Horrible basketball game.

Neither team deserves to be in this tournament based on this performance.

Yep. And, it isn't like AU is playing that great or uber-pressure D either. It's mostly just carelessness and goofy stuff by CoC. If they ever could take better care of the ball, they could win this game.

They could only win the game because auburn is playing equally as bad.

This is bad, bad basketball going on. Awful stuff from both teams.

Exactly they look like a power school expecting a cakewalk. This isn't the CoC I have seen play all year

Good Buddha at the missed FT's. This will be a looooong flight home for the CoC guys - that is, knowing they essentially gave this game away (TO's, missed FT's).

Might have gotten hosed on that no call there but tough to feel sorry for them.

Ref missed that one. Pretty obvious foul when a shooter misses a 3 pt shot 5 feet short. Replay confirms Auburn defenser hit Riller’s shooting elbow. Automatic foul in most situations but the ref choked

Charleston let that one get away- bad shooting/ poor shot selection (although Charleston isn't known for their shooting) and getting nothing from Chealey did them in. Stinks when a good Senior PG gets to the dance and can't make an impact in his lone NCAA T game/swan song. Similar fate for Devon Moore at JMU against Indiana- was a non factor.
