You can't win in basketball there I firmly believe that

Our fanbase is poor across sports. There's no recruiting advantage like in football No weather advantage like in baseball. And the basketball facilities are garbage

So good luck to whoever gets it but I think it's a lost cause at my school. Hope I'm wrong. Then again I'll take winning football and baseball both over basketball

Starting to sound like us old crusty Southern Miss fans with that statement.

Well it sounds like FAU cares about basketball. That's a good sign.

RE: Florida Atlantic fires Michael Curry
Thankfully, Kelly has been such a huge proponent for athletics. After Saunders almost single-handedly destroyed everything Brogan and Angelos built, along with Schnellenberger, Cooney & McCormack, we're in the best position we've been in. Chun is finally gone and I'm optimistic about White brings from what I've heard. While I personally like Curry, this really was long overdue. Hopefully since White's brother is head coach at Florida, he'll want to invest more in our BB program. And for however long Kiffin is here, we'll need to take advantage of not only the offense he brings on the field, but the attention he garners off the field as well. As for baseball we're closing on a deal with the newly built Ballpark of the Palm Beaches to, hopefully, host a CUSA tournament or an NCAA regional in the future. And construction finally began on our $50 million athletic center in January.

We're definitely investing in athletics, which is a great to see.

Dusty May would be a good one though I’m sure there will be competition for him. Another one that I expect will get considered is Chris Caputo of the Canes.

What do you expect the salary range for the new coach to be? I would go for the UMBC coach fast.

Dusty May and Jordan Mincy were at La Tech with both of the White brothers.

Yep. We had a large contingent of fans that wanted Dusty May to be our next head coach when Mike White left. Unfortunately, we hired Eric Konkol instead.

Probably for similar reasons as to why a hot name came to thefaU to coach a perennial 3-9 football program.
