They just said Nevada plays man to man 99% of the time. I like to hear that.

Evans in slump because coach asked him to do something he was totally uncomfortable doing and its rattled his confidence. He needs be on wing and attack the rim from weakside.

Of course announcer said Georgia State plays zone 80% of the time. Ron Hunter said he has never played a possession of man to man in his head coaching career... So that was inaccurate.

This team will go further once Cumberland officially assumes the role as the go to guy. Evans is not a natural alpha dog, Mick needs to stop forcing that issue. JE plays better when he can play the off someone like Cumberland.

At what point today did we force the issue of Evans being the go to guy? Everything has run through Cumberland for the last 3 weeks.

He’s in a slump because he has a busted hand and can’t flex the fingers on his primary shooting hand according to our radio guys.

Is that jammed or broken? do you know? just curious if that's something that will play out the whole tourney or if we can win Sunday it can start to get better.

everybody use "im hurt" excuse when they embarrassed. somebody told Evans he needed work on his ball handling to go pro and when Mick let him play PG he stunk up the joint. LIke i said previously, Evans looks fine going up for rebounds. Get back in attack mode from wings.

Dunno. Been tapped up in every practice the last couple weeks according to Terry. Says he can’t bend some of those fingers on the shot.

I watched him shoot in warmups and he looks fine. What's hurting him is coming our and getting in immediate foul trouble and sitting all game. He played 40 minutes against Houston, big difference. He still grabbed 8 rebounds today in addition to 2 big 3's, but he gets out of synch when he sits. Maybe they should try bringing him off the bench at the 15 minute mark. Got to avoid the cheap fouls.

if he couldnt bend his hand on shots, then he wouldnt be able to go up and secure rebounds like he does without thinking. needs just stop overthinking on offense. they say if you study long you study wrong in basketball

Just going on what Terry Nelson said on the radio yesterday. He says Evans has a hurt primary shooting hand and that it’s pretty well known in the program.

Agree. His body language is very tentative. I hate to say it has anything to do with the short hair, but what do i know. Those two shots he dropped were bombs. If his hand was an issue i doubt he would hit those types of shots.
