Coastal beats AState 26-14 after 4 hours of miserable baseball. There were over 30 walks tonight. With both teams walking in multiple runs with the bases loaded.

That might be the worst we've ever played under Raffo. It was awful.

GS takes the series against the Cajuns.
I don't know how the Sun Belt is #5 in the RPI with both of these teams down.

On another note, Rodney Hennon can't close the deal in the Sun Belt Championship games, but he can win 3 of the last 4 regular-season series against the Cajuns.

Conference is deep in baseball

Troy has the #12 RPI with GSU, USA and Coastal on up there

Bobcats beat the Apps 7-2 today, and sweep the series. TXST now 13-4-1 on the season.

Cats travel to San Antonio Tuesday to take on UTSA.

Justice Hansen needs to throw it away instead of letting himself get tackled in the end zone.

ULM takes game three handily against the Jags in 8 innings. The rain came and wasn’t going to leave so we called after 8.

Final Tally for AState this week:

35 walks 9 Passed Balls/Wild pitches 14 errors 37 runs allowed

There were some decent American Legion teams that could have beaten us tonight. We looked completely disinterested and resigned to the result.

Sorry brother, that's unbelievable for a three game series.

Sorry brother, that's unbelievable for a three game series.

To clarify I wasn't including just this series, I also included the game we played Tuesday against Southern Illinois, which was about as bad as yesterday and today. We actually played decently well Friday Night...just couldn't get the big hit.

To top it off, we also lost another one of our top hitters to injury. Today's lineup was essentially 6 players who were not intended to be starters this season. The result is showing, especially defensively where we've got way too many guys playing out of position.

Getting Justin Felix back at catcher would be a huge help, just to get our two .120 hitting poor defensive catchers back to backup roles. We're trying to get him back in time for ULL. Not sure if it will happen.

Does not look like it has got any better for State. Turned the TV over to the SEC Network to checkout State vs Missouri game, needless to say I change changed channels after seeing the score.

We finally chose to move our Midweek starter with 23 Innings Pitched and a Sub 2 ERA to the weekend. That meant throwing the back half of our bullpen today against an SEC team. The result wasn't pretty.

Outside of letting him throw 1 inning today to keep loose, the guys we threw in innings 2 through 6, when Missouri scored 10 runs total were guys with approximately 1 appearance on a weekend combined. We have absolutely zero bullpen outside of our top 3-4 guys.

Coastal was in the 8th inning beating #10 Clemson 5-1. Now, after Coastal brings in a crap pitcher that gives up 4 hits and 4 runs and only recording 1 out, the game is tied 5-5.

Come on Chants, don't let this huge game slip away like so many of them did last season.

Walk off grand slam in Conway.

Today's totals for AState: (I think I might as well start keeping a running track)

14 runs allowed. 14 walks 11 stolen bases allowed. 3 errors 4 wild pitches/passed balls

This friends is called not having any middle relief.

Hubbard doubles in 2 with 2 out in the B9th, Cats come from behind to down UIW 6-5. Ugly win, but we'll take it.
