With all due respect to Steve, I have to start this thread.

I AM GOING TO THIS GAME!!!!

I don't have to tell you guys how rare it is for EMU to come down to Texas. I am fired up!

Could one of you all post the spread if you see it anywhere? Thanks, and go Eagles!

That's awesome man! Glad you get to see them in person. Hopefully they put on another show like they did yesterday.

Spreads will probably be out this weekend. I'd guess we will be favored again. SHS isn't very big, and probably haven't seen length like we have very often. Gonna be a Thompson dunk fest again.

Our Eagles are 1.5 point favorites on the road. Interesting.

EMU is #133 overall on Kenpom; 214 on offense and 81 on defense.

SHSU is #213 overall on Kenpom; 234 on offense and 194 on defense.

On paper, our 2-3 zone should give them fits. We'll see.

I saw that (1.5 points). My only comment: EMU is a far better team than SHS and on a mission to win the CIT. I'd bet like crazy if I were in Vegas.

I'm watching 'Cuse vs. Sparty. Think I should get 1 CEU basketball theory credit for watching. :)

This is a real tough matchup of the master of the Syracuse zone and HOF coach vs. MSU and its HOF coach. Sparty is shooting 27% during the first half.

At the half the difference is a freak play in which the bank was open for MSU.

Kenny Smith drops a pearl: "It isn't always bad plays that lose games, but GREAT plays which win it."

How often have we seen a player makes an unbelievable shot to win a game at the buzzer?

I think the reason I wanted EMU to play in this tourney is because I am getting impatient waiting 5 days for a game. Let alone an entire off season.

Hopefully, we win and advance.

Wonder if for the next round, quarterfinals, we would stay in Texas and play UT-SA?

I would be happy if EMU came out to Liberty, a 175 mile drive for me. (not fair that bovine should get all the CIT road games. 03-lmfao).

Getting excited for this one. Sam Houston State has been very good at home this season, with a record of 13-2. However, we've played pretty well on the road down the stretch, winning 5 of our last 6 true road games, with the 1 loss being that total collapse against BGSU.

As bovine pointed out, they aren't very good offensively. Only three guys average around double figures in scoring, and only one of those three is shooting above 40% from the field. Their leading scorer and rebounder is 6'7 210, so he could be a problem on the glass, but our length should frustrate their guards and wings. If we come out with the same intensity that we had against Niagara, we should be fine. Feed Thompson down low, especially if SHSU doesn't double team him.

Agree. If EMU brings the intensity, we win big.
