My guess is Eddie Fogler will be the next coach at Pittsburgh.

Why not? Whether he is the next Pittsburgh coach or not has nothing to do with his consulting business. Especially if he has been looking for past two months. Now, once he is hired he will have to give up consulting.

I guess Goodman got that completely wrong. While Eddie is finding a coach for Pitt, he might as well find one for us:
Pitt will use one former Vanderbilt coach to help find a replacement for another.
Officials at the school have hired Eddie Fogler, who has become a major factor in college basketball coaching movement over the past decade-plus, as part of its search for a new coach. That process began last week when Kevin Stallings was fired.
The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported Fogler’s involvement Tuesday.
The 1993 SEC Coach of the Year at Vanderbilt, Fogler created Fogler Consulting in 2006 specifically to work for schools in search of a basketball coach. In fact, his website claims it is “the only firm dedicated exclusively to college basketball with an expertise assisting universities in basketball coach recruitment.”
He worked with Vanderbilt in 2016 following Stallings’ departure, when Bryce Drew became coach. In recent years he also has consutled with high-profile schools such as Ohio State (2017) and Oklahoma State (2016). Lesser-known programs that have enlisted his help include Stephen F. Austin (2013) and Wright State (2016), both of which are in this year’s NCAA Tournament.
Colorado State announced last week that it too has hired Fogler for its current search.
Fogler went 81-48 in four seasons as Vanderbilt coach (1990-93) before he left to become head coach at South Carolina, which ultimately was his final job as a head coach. He led the Gamecocks through the 2000-01 season.
Stallings led Vanderbilt from 2000-16 and is the winningest coach in program history (322-220). He left to become head coach at Pitt but was fired after only two season after going 24-41 overall, 5-34 in the Atlantic Coast Conference.
