3 recruiting questions for the experts
First, I never got an answer on that transfer (Jones?) that came from Alabama A&M. Is he on the roster now, or is he signed for next year? Tried to find the old thread but never did even with the search thingy.

Second, at this late date who are the players we can hope Penny has a shot at putting in a Memphis jersey next season?

Third, are all the players coming back? If not, who's leaving and when do they have to have decided? How many scholarships will we have?

Alabama A&M was a walk-on. He might of gotten a scholarship to help the APR.

That's the only reason they would have done it. But adding players only helps slightly, you really just can't have anyone leave.

RE: 3 recruiting questions for the experts
No idea of the players coming back, but any of the juniors could pull the graduate transfer route if they indeed graduate. I think that is highly unlikely considering that the new staff will have very little impact on next years roster. Anyone who got minutes this year will likely repeat next year.

Tyler Harris seems to be the most realistic get in recruiting at this point. Maybe TJ Moss.

New staff is really gonna prove or disprove right away. They will basically be coaching the same team as Tubs did this year.

I think Wiseman reclassifies and we get him. He loves Penny and so does his mom.

I thought if players left in good standing it didn't hurt your APR...

RE: 3 recruiting questions for the experts
Penny has watched this team prepping for this opportunity. He knows which players he wants to keep and which ones need to go. Unfortunately some will be given their walking papers just because they should have never been here in first place. There will be definite infusion of new talent on next year's team especially three point shooters.

The Memphis Tigers are a lot like the Memphis Grizzlies in that starting core is pretty good but majority on the bench are not.

It is the complete opposite. Our starting core right now is weak but the bench is awesome if Penny can fill our roster up with D1 caliber starters.

Maybe Martin starts at the 2 and Davenport starts at the 4, but even if they don't, them along with Parks, Brewton, Thornton, Johnson and Nickelberry make a GREAT bench.

The Jucos will be asked to stay ... I think the frosh will want to stay ...
I see Azab leaving ... and the new guard who committed won't come in either.
Vanover probably asks out ... Wiseman ?, Harris (or Lomax) and a wing. We'll need a 3 and can't wait to see who Coach Hardaway can recruit. Is EJ Montgomery still on the board ??

Why would Vanover ask out?
