Joe Pasternack last time when he was an assistant at Arizona. He is 23-9 in his first year as head coach at Cal-Santa Barbara this season. Kind of doubt he would consider a lateral move here, at this point, unless he wants to be closer to his hometown of New Orleans.

Of course I should also mention I suggested Dennis Felton who was 12-23 With Cleveland state this season. That's why hiring a coach is such a crapshoot.

Not many would give up a gig in Santa Barbara, CA. About as sweet a place as there is!

Do you know what Coach Felton may have inherited at Cleveland State? I guarantee you it wasn't as good as what was inherited here from a 30 win team that the inheriting coach was a part of. Coaches that are totally new to a program often take a couple of years or so to shape things into what they want.

No idea what Cleveland State had. I do know we did not have one scholarship player, from the 30 win team, that played this year. I back Chasse's decision, but this season was a complete rebuild.

6 seniors back from 30 win team does not equal 15 wins. I don't think anybody on this board expected just 15 wins from that team.

No, I think we all were surprised. Josh Hagins left a huge hole.

And as the chief recruiter, whose fault is that?

I have yet to talk to one person who has attended a lot of Trojan games since Wes took over, that thought he could coach a lick. Evidently all apples don't fall from the same family apple tree. I have no idea who we'll get, but we can't afford another dud at this point.
