I was watching a bit of the Austin news conference earlier today on the bombings from before. They upped the reward money and still didn't seem to have any solid leads. If tonight's deals are related, hopefully this gets them a better lead. About all I can tell from early reports is that this is a wealthier neighborhood so perhaps there is some video this time around that can help the authorities.

I also saw a tweet that said two young men were injured from the bomb today which detonated when they jostled a realtor sign in the neighborhood. That could be incorrect information but it seems an odd place for someone to place a bomb, and why would these two men be jostling the sign?

I also saw they cancelled the Roots concert last night at SXSW due to a threat. The police said that was done by the festival promoters, and didn't really comment on it beyond that.

I'm most concerned that the bomber(s) will move onto other cities in Texas (like Houston) where they might feel less attention is being diverted on them.

I would be nervous at this point where his next move happens....they'll catch him if stays local.....

if he has the means to become mobile (which is plausible), I would take great care in the surrounding areas until this fukbag is caught.....

Momma and Poppa met, courted, married in Austin. Spent time fishing with Granpa and doing dumb things in Shoal Creek.

Even had a scorpion race into the house from the backdoor as we were called in for dinner. Then the bottom dropped out of whatever glass baking dish that was.

I'll bet yams, grandma shoulda bought tempered glass... She yelled at my Dad for some reason...

Now they're saying the latest incident wasn't a package bomb but a trip wire attached to a For Sale sign in that neighborhood. The two kids (maybe college-age students?) were riding bikes and tripped the wire which they didn't see.

They're asking residents in that part of town to stay inside until 10 am this morning so they can comb the neighborhood for other possible trip wires. No school buses are running this morning in that part of Austin either.

Pretty insane crap. Again like I wondered last night, surely they have to have some sort of video of this nutjob?

Pretty clearly sounds like someone with some training or know-how. I doubt you could just get this off the internet and pull it off, but who knows.

I guess kadzincki did.

I had that same thought earlier but then I thought about it some more. He (or she but probably he) is obviously building the bombs in Austin somewhere. Would you think they would want to transport a bomb in their vehicle for 150-200 miles? Did the Unabomber do that back in the day?

The second thought I had - and this may be quite out there - but perhaps this person is targeting Amazon? Maybe it's an Austinite who doesn't want to see Amazon's HQ2 in that city? What better way to get to their bottom line too than suddenly have people worried about ordering packages from them or any online retailer?

IDK, seems more likely he is enjoying the cat and mouse game. He just changed his target and type of bomb and the latest was not in a package. I don't think there are political or economical motives.
