Their 10 losses so far this season were to an average RPI opponent of #187.

Ga St has a really good player in Simonds and they play zone.

If we put up a 2-21 3pt effort or some such and they have two or three guys hot from downtown, it will be a tight one.

Otherwise, we will kill them.

a couple of their better wins are vs Montana and Tulane

so looking at their 3pt shooting, remember who they have done that against...not the likes of UC

We will win if we take care of business. ISO Gary down low and find ISO for je. Our height athleticism and rebounding should prevail. Keep the turnovers low and make a few shots and we win by twenty.

As long as we make them shoot contested 3's. An open 3 against UC looks the same as as an open 3 against Montana.

they don't appear to run a real complex offense. they aren't marshall or somebody like that. they just sorta weave around the perimeter and then one of them jacks up a 3.

Im just happy I haven't seen the usual talk about how one of the committee members is an OSU or XU grad and our seeding/opponent is because of some nefarious master plan to keep UC down.

So that's progress...

They haven't played against the #2 KenPom defense either. But, there's a chance...

Hopefully if we're not hitting the mid-range soft spots in the zone we rotate a guard in there to make those. I remember one game this year we did that and seemingly never went back to it in similar situations.

We've had multiple games where we had our backups in that situation and couldn't hit.

Can't even do that properly now... Teddy Valentine has been sacked by the NCAA Tournament...

I don't think there will be any problems.

Exactly my sentiment. If they are hanging around (within eight) at the seven minute mark, I will not be reading this board.07-coffee3

I am hoping that was just outlier, and we get back to better play on Friday. We will struggle to be GaSt. If we continue our shooting woes.

I think Georgia St is the only 15 seed that could play their A game and potentially beat our C game. I would say we were around our C game in the conference tournament (especially the first 2 games).

Need to jump on them early. As Mick always says, you can't let shooters get comfortable at the start, then its too late. Get in their heads early, let them worry about somebody always contesting and make them rush some shots.

And our best offense might be to just chuck it and go get it. 2-3 shots at it nearly every possession.

IMO your first sentence is spot on.
