DALLAS (SMU) -- The 20th-ranked SMU women's soccer team remain unbeaten in Western Athletic Conference play with a 5-2 victory over Tulsa Sunday afternoon at Westcott Field on the campus of SMU. With the win, SMU improves to 10-2-2 overall (4-0-1 WAC) while Tulsa falls to 4-9-2 overall (1-3 WAC). Sunday's win was also the 100th career win of SMU head coach John Cossaboon.

SMU posted the first goal of the game at the 18:33 mark when sophomore Olivia O'Rear tapped in a crossing pass from senior Erin MacCallum. Tulsa knotted the game, 1-1, when Carrie Schnarre shot in a ball off a crossing pass from Katie Ward at 31:04. SMU answered five minutes later when senior Jill Heinemann punched in a ball that was loose front of the net. Heinemann tallied her second goal of the game when stole the ball from a Tulsa defender deep in Golden Hurricane territory and set it into the net at the 49:07 mark. O'Rear collected her eighth goal of the season on a successful penalty kick at the 62:53 mark after MacCallum was taken down in the box. Freshman Autumn Browning closed out the Mustang scoring with a header off a corner kick at the 74:38 mark. Tulsa scored its second goal of the game when Krista Barker tapped in a rebounded ball after a corner kick at the 86:05 mark.

SMU's next game takes place on Tuesday, Oct. 19 in a non-conference tilt against Oral Roberts (10-3) at Westcott Field. Kick-off is slated for 7:00 p.m
