Ch 12 has always leaned XU basketball and OSU football as long as I could remember. Someone in a position of authority must be a fan of those schools with some sort of chip on their shoulder about UC. The local network that covers UC best has always been Ch 5 and Ch 19.

At channel 5 I give a lot of the credit for it to Vogel. He's a big Bearcat fan. Also helps having Elise Jesse's husband as the MBB S&C coach.

Channel 19 was the best back when we played out games on Fox19 and Dan Hoard was their Sports guy. I haven't watched the local news in years though so I wouldn't know either way.

Vogel is a UC grad and huge fan. Reason 12 doesn’t cover UC is Johansson. He’s a big UK and Eggs homer. I believe Skinner is also on 12. Channel 19 started to go down hill once Hoard left.

Nope. He wanted to be an anchor so he got a job I think in South Carolina. Been gone like a week.

I always do. Raferty brought back memories during the AAC tournament. I also think that Len Elmore does a great job. Do not miss Bob Knight on the call.

Yeah, Bobby was well past his expiration date. He couldn't even remember the player's names. Had to keep referring them by their numbers.

Bolded, ditto Channel 9. Saturday morning's newscast had a feature on X and it's Friday game. UC playing and winning the same day was not even mentioned in that news segment and they really don't even do sports in the morning block. Amazing.

There is a line going down a half a block down the sidewalk at Hattie B’s hot chicken. I hope I make it to the game on time...
