Don’t forget youth teams and players got in free today. This is like football....we can’t get people to come with free tickets.

The morning local news mentioned UH playing this weekend and not Rice.

Aviles:

Big cut ... fouled back.
Curve. Called strike.
Ball -- WAY outside. Nearly past the catcher.
WIFFF .. on a pitch lowish and nearly outside. GRRRRR!!!

Bases loaded with no outs ... all stranded. This is your (our!!) 2018 Rice Owls, in a nutshell.

Sigh.

Drive off the left field fence. Cox fields it, then juggles the ball and drops it ... allowing run to score. Grrr!! Brooks to 2nd.

Sad sign of what used to be. Tiger is showing you can return from the dead. I'm not sure if we can do the same.

It’s been time. There should’ve been a plan 2-3 years ago.

Coach Graham deserves to pick his time. Unfortunately, it looks as if he should have picked it some time ago. The program now is, except for faint memories, hardly better than the way he found it, if that.

So with what I have seen this year, last years team was way better overall.

I get that he’s probably the most important figure in Rice athletics history.... but I don’t get why people think he gets to collect a paycheck forever if the program has run off the rails. All great coaches and players have an ego, and when an 80 year old says he wants to coach another 10 years it’s ego you’re hearing.
