Funny how all these big bad schools had to be validated by WSU.

Dude, I really have no clue what you mean? Never heard of a true basketball school needing validation from WSU. I just stated a fact with sarcasm. AAC should be grateful WSU prevented them from being a 2 bid league for a second straight year. HINT - ANOTHER SARCASM ALERT Mid-major conferences like the AAC should be thrilled with a three bid year. 03-nutkick

I will admit, I truly thought WSU would run through the AAC like hot knife thru butter. Can't believe WSU is happy with the outcome after all the pre-season hype. Were there injuries to the team? Was it just a young talented team that didn't meet expectations? I really know very little about WSU.

once Temple, UCONN, and Memphis get back up to speed, people that still call the AAC mid major will look like fools....

Year 5 and waiting.

year 4 for Memphis...our first season in AAC play we beat Louisville twice, made the NCAAs, and even won a game.

BUT you're going to get a good NCAA Tourney seed and are primed to make a deep run.

again, welcome to a real college basketball conference.

Don't disagree with any of this. I would add that because they're in our conference they raised the profile up several ticks and provided quality wins/losses/SOS/RPI Quads etc., etc. I'd hate to think of our league this year with UCONN, Memphis and Temple not righting the ship just yet and throw in SMU's and UCF's injuries. We'd be just a 2 bid league and likely getting higher NCAAT seed lines on the selection show tomorrow.
The ironic thing is we have the best OOC win in the conference over Arizona and maybe the second best over USC. Frustrating season for us, but again, we’ll bounce back.

UH beat Arky and Providence.

That is the problem for the AAC, each school is looking out for themselves and will bolt at the first chance. Unless the TV deal turns out like AAC fans hope, the gap will keep growing. At least the AAC is not the A10, that is a league that will probably keeping getting minimized. 04-cheers

Agree with your assessment of Temple, UCONN, and Memphis. The issue with this Wichita bunch is this was supposed to be THE YEAR for them. They lose six Seniors off this squad. What if Marshall figures he has maxed out, and looks for greener pastures back east? Is this league then just left with another mouth to feed, with poor performance on the court and no TV market?

As long as Marshall is there, they will be good. If he leaves, all bets are off (although they have proven they pony up so they will probably hire another great coach for big money if Marshall does leave).

Now, next year, they may be rebuilding. But as long as Marshall is there, they will be a great program.

He's probably the best coach in the conference.

Either you all have buy-in to become the "Power Conference" you claim or not. That is why outside the AAC, the P5 in football and P6 in basketball don't consider the AAC nothing but CUSA 2.0 teams looking for the 30 pieces of silver to get out of the AAC. If Big East expands, WSU should be the first to jump to be like the rest of the AAC teams.

1. Your grammar is horrendous.

2. A conference with Cincy, UCONN, Memphis, Temple, and WSU is not mid major. Throw in SMU, UCF, and UH coming on and its a high major conference.

Because P5 teams never look to jump to other conferences... oh wait. Half the Big 12 did

Because nothing ever changes. Organizations never improve. Athletic programs never improve. Conditions always stay exactly static so it follows I guess that the AAC will never be any better than the negative opinion of some NC State fan. Please continue, how bad will the AAC be next year or 5 years from now. Because obviously growth never happens, ever.
