Amador apperss to have hurt himself fielding the crappy throw on the 3-1 groundout.

Wonder if it was a blown play. We've often sent the runner with less than two outs with a man on third, try to draw the rundown, and then send the runner from third. Wonder if Trei missed the sign, or just simply bad baserunning going to second.

I suggest a sac fly instead of outsmarting ourselves.

when done well, it has a higher percentage than achieving a sac fly (especially when the pitcher is particularly trying to keep the ball down in that situation). Unfortunately, last year it worked really well the first several times we tried it, then the word got out that we ran that play, and people were clearly looking for it, and we got thrown out at the plate a few times because they didn't even bother with the runner going to second.

The video replay showed that his right leg that was touching first base flexed back underneath him as he lunged back and to his left to catch the low-and-off-target throw.

Amador getting shelled in T5. Might be in pain. Runners at corners after ground-rule double and a single.

Incomprehensible decision by Comeaux to throw to second, and he throws it into the outfield. 4-3 Gonzaga.

Amador needs to come out. Not right to leave him in. 5-3, still no outs.

B4 was:

First pitch: Collins hit on left arm
5-4 forceout; good play by 3rd baseman on hard shot over the bag.
Bloop flyout to shortstop in shallow LF.
After several 1-2 count fouloffs, Gneiting pops out to 1B.

(Sorry for the posting delay ... my video feed buffers half the time.)

Amador gets an out and then hits someone to load the bases.

5-3 Zags now.

There’s no need to burn pitching at this point. He really isn’t throwing bad. A few seeing eye singles followed by a sac brings it to 6-3. But without us threatening we should let him get his work in for the resold the game.

What we really need are base runners and timely run-scoring hits.

Larzibel unintimidated by the top of their order.

2, 3,4 in the order coming up for Rice, down 3. Score now or it's a wrap.
