Is he a candidate for the Louisville spot? He would dominate there with the capital that they have..... I would sure h8 to lose him in the AAC! Kid can coach!! IMPRESSIVE

I don't think so, for the following reasons:
1- He is too deeply in the "Pitino Coaching Tree" and so probably wouldn't be considered, given Pitino's legacy.
2- His "style" of basketball (tough D, low O) doesn't fit Louisville's expectations.
3- UL was a long-term rival of UC and I don't think they would hire away a UC coach...especially now that they view themselves as superior in the ACC.
4- I don't think Mick leaves an established UC program for a UL program that's going to be...1) A major rebuild, 2) still has major instability at both the President and the AD, 3) has an ongoing FBI investigation AND unknown NCAA penalties. Not to mention Mick has a daughter who has to stay in the Cincinnati area due to shared custody.

Conventional wisdom seems to think that UL might make a run at Xavier's Chris Mack who would be a much better fit there.

Cronin aint leaving Cincinnati for lovisville. Not in a million years. Now, he may use the noise in order to get a raise.

As previously stated, Mick Cronin is a Cincinnati native and UC is his alma mater. The chances of him leaving for anything less than a blueblood are slim to none. I also see Chris Mack's (Xavier) name thrown around for various jobs (including ours) too. He is also already at his alma mater.

Don't get me wrong....I Love the fact that he is in the AAC....I'm seeing him really make strides in coaching....His teams are performing like Huggies teams, or even BETTER!!!! How long has Clark been @CINCY anyway????
