Campbell took the bait and won tonight against Miami of Ohio.

See where Western Kentucky advances with a double overtime victory over USC.

I am not sure if it's a joke, and if it is then kudos. But they are using 4 quarters in the NIT, so it's not double overtime. Some apps haven't been able to understand the concept of it quite yet so I can understand the mix up.

RE: NIT?
Would be nice if CUSA was represented in MSG, but Ok State on the raod will be a tough out.

Yeah, the 4 quarters is definitely blowing some circuits on the current programming for score apps haha

WKU up on OSU/Big 12 in the “second half.” And that’s after winning on the road at USC. Strong.

Go Western! I was really hoping MTSU could win the whole thing and make a statement, but it's understandable that they faltered. First, they really thought they would get into the NCAA Tournament, so what a disappointment. Then, they find out they are losing their coach.

Yes indeed! CUSA has shown very well in the post-season.

WKU could well end up winning the whole thing. If they keep playing well they will. I believe they are more talented than the remaining teams, especially after St. Mary's went down last night.

RE: NIT?
North Texas is in the CBI finals as well.

UTSA plays for a spot on the CIT semifinals tonight.

Not sure what affect it may have for next season, but it wouldn't hurt the CUSA profile to win all three of these tournaments.

CAA is better. Just look at the RPI rankings. LMAO.

CAA has some advantages. There are less schools competing for a single bid, which improve the odds and a shitton more of them are close enough to follow. WKU and MTSU are no doubt better than CoC and Northeastern, but that isn't improving our chances of dancing. I am not at the point where I want to move to the CAA yet... I think we can do better... but we have put the basketball program in a terrible position where the entire season comes down to a cold shooting night in a football practice facility in Denton, Texas. At least with the CAA, we can usually get a couple thousand fans to be there and encourage the team to dig deep. A10 is ideal if we can make it happen. Multiple bids and a conference tournament 3 hours away.

RE: NIT?
WKU is playing REALLY good ball right now. The way they look right now, its hard to imagine how they didn't win CUSA. This team has talent all over the floor and is playing with a ton of energy and focus. Stansbury is by all accounts a complete dirt bag (so was Kermit is a previous life), but he really deserves some kudos for the job he has done this year. I think had WKU made the NCAAT, we may have been looking at a Elite Eight, depending on matchups.

RE: NIT?
They certainly could have been Loyola Chicago or Nevada. So could have MTSU when they were firing on all cylinders back in Jan-Feb. It is all about peaking at the right time. MTSU and ODU peaked too early, WKU peaked too late. Marshall peaked at the right time, but had a lower ceiling, IMO. As good of a scorer and passer as Elmore is, I have to think Hollingsworth, Caver, and Poots all would have done an exponentially better job against the WVU pressure. Then again, we most likely wouldn't have been able to outscore Wichita State by raining 3s so maybe it wouldn't matter anyway.

Not quite. I sent an email to my General Manager about 15 years ago. After quickly troubleshooting his computer, I let him know that his hard disk was broken. Unfortunately, I misspelled "disk".

He never said anything so I guess he understood the message.
