Sorry but I don't think so. WKU gets NCAA, MTSU is in NIT, we are left out.

But if MU wins WKU and MT might be NIT. If that happens we are likely out. For that reason, go WKU.

The “experts” have us in. I think if Middle gets an at-large (which I seriously doubt) and Western wins tonight, then we get in. If not, I think we’re out. I find it interesting Wood indicated we will not entertain a C-tournament - which I agree with. That will increase the pressure on JJ for not getting us into the postseason.

What are your thoughts MT Fan? Middle in the dance or not?

ChIT tournaments are fine if you have a team full of underclassmen that could benefit from the experience. If we go to one, I'd keep the seniors at home and only play the juniors for spot minutes.

Lunardi doesn’t have them in now - not even I. Last 4 out ... WKU showing an 11 seed ... we need WKU to win and all the other finals go as chalk to get in the NIT

I think they deserve to be in (esp given their dance record) - but those back to back losses are easy reasons for the committee to leave them out. I think it’s 50/50.

Louisiana knocked out of the Sun Belt tournament and into the NIT. Hampton tied with N.C. Central 58-58 with 3:45 left so another bid could be stolen.

That's nine stolen NIT bids so far.

We are screwed. All of the season winners are losing: Vermont, Hampton, Louisiana. If ODU didn't have bad luck they would have no luck at all.

Yeah, at this rate auto-bids will take all the 6, 7 and 8 seeds. It's looking a lot less likely than it did 24 hours ago, for sure.

If we miss out on the NIT it will surely give the fire-Jones crowd a lot more ammo.

I think we’re out with 3 more auto bids taken today ... even St. John may get in even with a below 500 record ... throw in a few burst bubble teams from the NCAA and that’s it..

Theoretically possible, since the NIT doesn't explicitly prohibit sub-.500 teams, but they've never done it before.

That said, I'd agree that three more auto-bids definitely douses whatever hopes ODU has.

The nit is not happening. We beat no one and the committee knows it.

Don't hold your breath.

Just end this season and move on please. We are toast this year, done.

The "official" NIT Bracketology site has us in but as a bubble team.
