If the Tigers had won that eminently winnable game, Memphis would now be on an 8-game winning streak, and a lock for the NIT. And Tubby would still be out coach for year 3, IMO.

And might have made a deal with Penny to fully join the staff which might accomplish the same improved level of recruits.

I am guessing Hardaway is not interested in that...but I still wish we were on an 8 game streak.

I don't trust this administration with basketball decisions. This whole thing could fall apart and they end up keeping Tubby which would just be disaster.

Until it is officially announced, this administration making the decision scares me.

Maybe, but IMO, Penny was never going to give up coaching East and running and coaching a top EYBL team, Team Penny, to be an assistant to Tubby.

He said what most Presidents/Chancellors/ADs of Universities say. Evaluate at the end of the season. What more does he have to say. This administration has not done well with basketball. They could very easily screw this up
