Yep. Refs are killing us. JT4 fouls kill us. Bond too.

Thanks for the comment.

Feels like an Akron home game.

The MAC doesn't want EMU. 6 fouls in 4 minutes?

I didn’t see a foul that wasn’t a foul. I’m not a conspiracy theorist though.

They didn't want EMU while they didn't call a single foul on them all second half until the 6 minute mark? Even though EMU was playing physical and contesting each shot and getting in the body of shooters. 6 minutes to go and that team doesn't have a single team foul, but it's a conspiracy to steal the game from them? and, yup, Thompson got into it with the refs and the opposing center and got hit with a couple questionable fouls, but that happens with him and the refs and the other team's big guy -if he has some guts- almost every game. Toledo had 8 free throw attempts, 2 for the tech, and 3 shooting fouls on giveaways. EMU didn't get called for a questionable shooting foul all game even though you can watch that dvr again and see contact on toledo shooters 15-20 times. not saying those were all fouls, but EMU didn't get one weak call challenging a shot. Tough Loss. I get it. Really. Our star is out hurt because 2 different Miami defenders undercut him on each leg taking a shot. And there wasn't even a foul call. They don't always go your way.

RE: totally neutral here
Knapke had both arms on Thompson. Thompson had one arm locked up while the other was reaching for the ball. Knapke clearly pulled Thompson to the ground while Thompson was trying to get the rebound. The call on the court was a foul against Knapke. Then after a 5 minute review they decide its a double flagrant. What in the hell is that? You remove one of the top players in the conference at a vital time of a semifinal game by inventing something that didn't happen?

Toledo played well and Jackson was out of his mind. Emu needs play better and to do a better job of playing through the adversity. Not saying it was a conspiracy, just saying the MAC needs to thoroughly review this garbage. We emu fans will be waiting for our meaningless apology from the conference. We haven't had one of those in about 2 years.

"totally neutral here" from an NIU fan who hates Toledo even more than most 03-lol definitely a tough loss but seems highly unlikely that's your stance.

LOL. Thomspon was holding onto to Knapke's arm. Knapke then fell down, and Thompson went with him bc Thompson was HOLDING his arm!

You took him out of context. He wrote that during the Emu game with Akron.

That’s what I saw. Seemed pretty clear on the replay. The announcers and, obviously, the refs agreed.

Dear MidnightBlueGold,
Everyone has a perspective on that play, but to me it looks like Knapke pulled Thompson to the floor. He didn't just fall down, because Thompson was trying to get to the ball. I think that's obvious.

yes, Knapke pulled him down at the end. Thompson was pulling Knapke at the beginning of that mash up. Then, Knapke locks him up. The both continue to pull on each other and Knapke makes the smart play of taking Thompson down and trying to force the refs to make the double foul call. Tough break for EMU but once that goes to the monitor it's gonna get called cause both plays used contact to try and create an advantage.

I agree. But Thompson locked arms earlier in the play...which made knapke capable of doing so. A double flagrant wasn't correct...a double personal? Sure. It was only bad for EMU because it was his fifth. Both teams had the same call...and the EMU bucket counted.

IMO JT4 has a bad attitude and because of that, eyes are on him by every ref in the league. A reputation of playing "dirty, talk backish, agressive", leads to more T's as where first time offenders get breaks.

Dear H2Oville Rocket,
I'm afraid Prairiedawg is correct. After watching the first half of your game with Buffalo, your team is not called for walking, charging, and maybe a few others. The referees are sitting on your bench.
