He sent the email below to the alumni yesterday. I will also include a link to his presentation. He is really a patient man to put up with such rudeness from local activist. The local media enjoyed the event and are calling for another meeting of this type. I doubt that we will see another open meeting like that one. Instead I suspect that he will go back to meeting with small organized groups...........

Dear Temple alumni:
Last night, Temple held an informational town hall on our plans for a multipurpose facility, including a stadium, academic/research space and a retail complex. I was delighted to see so many alumni come out to the event.
Sadly, a small group of organized protesters prevented us from providing the valuable information that alumni and residents have been seeking regarding our proposal. I want to assure you that Temple's conversations on this topic will continue. As part of that conversation, I invite you to read the presentation I prepared.
Once again, I want to thank all of you who came out last night or have contacted me to show your interest in this vital project. Your ideas and comments are invaluable. My role is to hear all these views, review the detailed analyses, and determine what course will serve the best long-term interests of the university and our neighbors. So, please keep your comments coming at officeofthepresident@temple.edu.
Thank you for all you do for our students and all of Temple University. I'm so proud that Temple has such loyal alumni.
My best,
Richard M. Englert
