I'm tired of reading this clown's continued bashing of ECU.....if he had "Tar Heel" in his handle, he'd have been long gone.....so.....

First and foremost, I would like to convey my sincere sentiments of gratitude to the moderator(s) of the "CUSAbbs ECU Pirates" Internet message forum.

Moreover, I am hoping that this Internet message forum does not become a microcosm of the BoneyardBanter.Com, Crossbones.Com, PirateFans.Net and EastCarolina.Rivals.Com Internet message forums in which the extreme spectrum of an unmoderated forum versus too heavily moderated forums will surmount in the future. One might surmise that an even-handed degree of forum moderation is the desirable trait in an online message forum.

Notwithstanding, in keeping with the theme of the message forum posting in which I am exchanging ideas, I find it to be incredibly ironic yet painfully duplicitous that certain Internet participants are able to commit libel and slander against certain factions of society while other Internet users are ostracized for harboring starkly dissenting viewpoints in the same antagonistic fashion.

My case in point is that of the loquacious, vitriolic attacks authored by the Internet user known as "WyldPirate" in which he/she routinely refers to religious-oriented Internet participants in a vein of disgust, contempt and condescension.

I shall refrain from extrapolating text authored by the Internet user known notoriously as "WyldPirate" since the individual in question tends to refer to denizens of Eastern North Carolina as rather denigrating epithets.

However, I appreciate the commendable efforts of this message forum's moderator(s) to create a uniquely new virtual community devoid of excessive moderation and, conversely, reckless disregard for the feelings of other people and the institutions which they cherish.
