Very interesting Drexel-Delaware game. Definitely a game of runs. Hopefully they are both exhausted so (assuming we get past Elon) tomorrow is easier for us.

Have to admit I am concerned about our game...

I am not impressed with this arena at all....

The DAC is the worst arena in the league and I dont think its close.

Drexel wins. JMU game starts in about six and a half minutes.

Rough start for the Dukes so far. Last time we played them when we lost at their place, we got behind early and fought and fought to try to get even. Did some, but could never get over the hump. Still early though.

This is atrocious offensively. And defensively for that matter. Is this how our offense normally runs?

Hard to shoot well with both hands around your throat. Hope the Lady Dukes decide to play in the second half. Down now 42-25 at halftime.

Probably one of the worst halves of basketball I have seen from the Lady Dukes in a very long time. Give credit to Elon, they are making things very difficult for the good guys.

Hoping for a better 2nd half.

Dukes fall 76-53. One of the worst beatdowns I have seen of the Dukes in ages. Dukes never really got their offense going and Elon cleaned up shooting 53% from the field on both 2's and 3' and out rebounded the Dukes also. Dukes could not buy a basket for most of the game.

Gotta give Elon lots o credit for smothering the Dukes all game long.

Championship game should be interesting to say the least.

76-53 final. An embarrassing loss. Elon was out to make a point. Lady Dukes have some soul searching to do, and the coaching staff has to find a reliable outside shooter if the team is going to reestablish itself as a championship caliber team.

12 straight wins for Elon heading into the CAATC game. Pretty impressive considering they opened the CAA schedule with a 2-3 record thru their first 5 games (and 4-4 thru 8).

Agreed. I was actually pleasantly surprised with how the change from a more ball dominant guard to a more balanced attack went this year. The team needs multiple credible 3pt threats to improve driving lanes and open cuts to take things up a level. It's also hard to forget the team is still relatively young and probably has more upside to come in the next couple of seasons.

Elon has come around late. They are as good as expected preseason. They just took awhile to figure it out. If we shoot poorly again tomorrow, I fear we will have a similar fate.

I was walking around at the JMU/Elon game tonight, reflecting on how I thought they did a great job with the renovation, and still aren't finished. Video and new scoreboards are coming next year...a year too late IMO. New lighting is on the horizon too. Anyway, I've heard a lot of great things about the DAC from outsiders who were there for the first time. They love the intimacy and the closeness to the court. It's no longer hot as hell, and the new seats are rather comfortable. There's also a decent amount of legroom compared to some arenas. The bathrooms are brand new, and large and easy to get to.

So I'm curious (not trying to be critical), what is so bad about the DAC that you would make that statement? Other than it having fewer seats, what makes it worse than say...JMU or W&M, or Northeastern?

Probably the worst shooting team EVER for a JMU Women's team. Very poor from 3 point range, especially if you factor out Koshuta's decent numbers, the rest of the team hit just above 25%. All shooting numbers are way down. FT % way below our usual numbers which have been better than 70%. It's doubtful that the current group will suddenly improve to become great shooters. Unless: Shot doctor where are you? Or perhaps our new players next year can.
