He did not leave Arkansas. He was fired after publicly calling out the administration and daring them to fire him and then claimed racism. Reality was he was no longer producing as he had in past and used race card to divert criticism.

Arkansas ran him off as soon as they could.

I'm not a fan of his either, but Arkansas looked bad in pushing him out as quickly as they did.

And some regular Joe like ncrdbl1 has no idea what went down from Nolan's perspective. He could have been absolutely justified in saying what he did, but it won't matter to him because it's just a 'card' played by the 'blacks.'
