On Penny’s staff. Being discussed.

Close with Thad Young, which may help with some AAU friction.

Opie hired 2 experienced assistant coaches right off the bat...Glen Cyprien and Willis Reed.
So your point would be what?

His biggest problem was letting them leave and signing Luke Walton and the putz who took the IUPUI job.

Not sure if it’s both or Hewitt instead of Brown. Jason and John made it sound like one or the other. Wonder if Stan Jones gets mentioned (if he’s even interested)

Also said Madlock should get consideration

Penny would be wiser for hiring two “successful” former head coaches. Neither Cyprien or Wilson come close to resumes of Hewitt and Brown.

If your gonna listen to the show then actually LISTEN to the show. They said penny reached out to brown and also hewitt. And Jason said that would be a great staff. Then John said he was concerned about brown and hewitt could take browns seat and go get another hard worker.
They said Tony has been talked to as well. Not that he should just be considered. .

There's also not just three seats on the bench. Director of Basketball Operations. Non-recruiting roles. He could potentially have to hire a staff of 8 or 9 guys.

Because his goofy ass also hired Murphy and then refused to use the knowledge of Wilson and Cyp.

Then when Wilson left, Pastner decided he would just serve as the HC and 3rd assistant.

The kid had no idea what he was doing by then. Then brings in Walton as a temp and then the masked man to have kids run up sandhills.

What a goof.

I actually liked Murphy. He was responsible for our defense schemes. NCAA against Arizona comes to mind
