I agree with Tubby
I agree with Tubby Smith over the last 5 years transfers have gone rampant at the College basketball level. Some many players not sticking to their commitments.
I won’t be surprised if we lose a couple due to this culture of basketball players.

RE: I agree with Tubby
It is a serious problem that will only get worse if the transfer rules change as proposed.

RE: I agree with Tubby
UIC’s top player (a sophomore) announced he was transferring (effective end of year) heading into the team’s final weekend. Flames were on a 12-2 streak after a 4-9 start and lost their last 3 after his tweet. Apparently waiting 2 more weeks to announce wasn’t in the cards for him.

I don't blame the players with transfers as much. These players just do what they see the coaches doing. You throw a few bucks at a coach and he will jump off a bridge to leave...there is NO loyalty by coaching, I don't expect it from players.

I don't like the system of players transferring but you're right. Tubby has moved to how many programs? Not sure he's one to talk. I sure don't like players leaving though either.

Speak of the devil. http://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketb...y-hardaway

I’ve been thinking the same route for NIU and going after someone like Simeon’s coach
