PJ took Sanford to school in both games. Odd decision by Kowalczyk to keep going with that matchup.

I can't give Paul enough credit. He's played very well since that awful game against WMU when we thought our season was over. A huge part of our turnaround. He looks like a guy with All-MAC potential for next season.

I wasn't able to watch a live but just finished watching this game on the DVR. Got to give credit to Murphy for running that PJ play at the end. He knew that PJ had a mismatch with Sanford and set up a play to isolate him. Nice job Murphy.

Wow. That was a great interview. Lots of candor, and not as many generic answers as I'm used to hearing from Murphy. You can tell how much this turnaround meant to him, as well as the entire team. For all of the yelling that he does during games, it's easy to see that he cares about these kids too, with the entire team going to Elijah's mom's funeral.

I can't imagine what could possibly be going through that young man's mind, but I'm blown away by how he's found a way to play basketball through it all. It seems trivial in the grand scheme of things, but this team would still be in the basement of the league without him. There haven't been many, if any, better players in the MAC over the last 9 games than Elijah Minnie. But more importantly, I'm glad he has the full support of his coaches and teammates during what is obviously an immensely difficult time in his life.
