Thinking about not driving downtown for the USF game, and instead going to see Tyler play at Bolton in the Region championship. Much shorter drive, probably a closer game.

I was thinking about it. Still haven’t made up my mind. I’d like to see Tyler. Of course one of my sons has to write an essay tonight that may ruin my plans to go to either game, Tigers or Cordova.

Cordova - Bartlett going to 4th OT! Looks like I chose the right game.

Great game. Bartlett had lost to Cordova 3 times this season, but pulled away in the 4th OT and beat them. Big crowd, lots of fans wearing Tiger gear.

Tyler Harris fouled out in the 2nd OT. Haven't seen a box score, but would say he scored in the low 20s. Bartlett played him tough, #0, Walker, trailed Tyler full court the whole game. If Tyler was 60 feet away from the basket during a free throw, Walker was one foot from him. Walker was exhausted, left the game in the 3rd OT after he cramped up. Whenever Tyler got the ball, a 2nd Bartlett player left his own man and doubled Tyler. You could tell it frustrated Tyler at times.

No doubt Tyler could help us, and would play immediately. His range is so deep, he gets a pick and gets open for a split second, and he shoots. 2 of his 3 pointers were from 30 foot range. Drives and draws fouls, so shoots a lot of free throws, drives fearlessly and maybe recklessly to the rim.

Re a comparison, even though he's Isaiah Thomas' size, TH actually plays more like a small Russell Westbrook. Very explosive and fast when he drives to the bucket. I've seen him 3 times, and wonder why more schools aren't after him. Must be his size.

Anyway, Cordova plays at East Monday night. TH versus Lomax. Winner goes to state.

If not, still got to see some great high school basketball.

It matters, he is crucial to Memphis program for a number of reasons.
