This is the biggest stat. Towson tried to get in a shooting contest rather than taking it to the hoop. 9 free throws is more of a W&M stat. That, coupled with a lack of separating numbers rebounding adds up to a Tribe win most every time.

All of W&M's starters played at least 31 minutes. Rowley played 21 minutes, Tot 2 minutes.

I couldn’t get the video feed today but the Tribe contingent was VERY easy to hear on the Tide, wherever you were sitting. You folks need to rest up tonight (OK, just rest the vocal chords) and be ready to back the Tribe again tomorrow. Roll Tribe!

RE: Towson # 3 (Third Time is the Charm)
Never prouder than today...guys kept their composure, played solid defense against a very physical team
(we actually outrebounded Towson by 37-35).

Pierce had off shooting game but didn't let it bother his defense, rebounding and passing..this young man is a gamer.

Terrific team basketball--Milon, Knight, Burchfield and Rowley.

And, oh yes, David Cohen, who is redefining the point guard position. And yes, he is the best PG in the CAA regardless of anyone else: 25 pts, 7 assists, 6 rebounds, 2 steals and wearing his emotion and will to win for everyone to see.

Let's do it tomorrow against Charleston.

Just as big of a stat:
David Cohn - 24 pts, 7 assists
Brian Starr - 0 pts. , 2 assists

Big David Cohen fan. Best part is as that was his first college game, I think he has three more years of eligibility for us!

It’s even better.

When they announced Paul Rowley’s scholar-athlete of the year award, they announced him as a freshman. And they announced Knight as a guard.

So we are definitely younger and bigger than we thought!

Great effort today. Not there to see how many UNCW fans there are, but again a solid number of Tribe fans. 5 coming again with me tomorrow. Is Pierce ok? Got called for a foul when the shooter's elbow hit his face. Then, he got hit in the nose late.

I thought Towson was awful today.

Another first round win ... another appearance in the semis ... year after year ... boring stuff ... need to warm up the coach's seat ... :-)

Rowley was great ... Wonderful performance.

Only thing I'll say about David is that he is the key ... what a performance ... what a year for him!

Playing with house money against Charleston ... no pressure ... take it to 'em!

Go Tribe!

This was one of the more beautiful games of the season. Our defense did look a lot better and we sometimes threw Towson off their game. Hope we can do the same today.

So much of defense is effort and commitment ... I saw all our guys boxing out on our end like I haven’t all year. Burch and Cohn and Milon. Everyone was working hard for the ball ... that’s what makes me think this team is locked in right now.

We aren’t perfect, we will make mistakes and give up runs and commit bad turnovers, but the effort was truly there yesterday and I’d be shocked if it wasn’t tonight ... this team just has a different feel to it in such a good way!

Let’s get hot these next two games, play together and play hard and let’s see what happens.

Michigan won the Big 10 tourney by actually playing defense for three straight games which has never happened under Beilein. If he can get religion it gives me hope. My concern is that I don't know if they can continue to crank out that kind of effort defensively without a bench.

I cannot imagine that Charleston will forget how to drive to the hoop like Towson did.

Good win against Towson, but definitely the loss against Charleston was totally expected. With our inane 6-7 man rotation and the starters with little to no rest, it will happen every time against a quality team. In all losses that weren’t blow outs in 1st half, we lost during the last 8- 10 minutes in the 2 nd half. Why? No adequate rest for starters. With this coach unless the rest of th league recruits mediocre kids, we will never win the CAA championship. There are other players on the bench that CAN PLAY and never was given a chance to help the team. Piss poor coaching! Feel sorry for the guys, they play hard and deserve better.

Your posts continue to sound as though you have a personal gripe beyond being a frustrated fan. Yawn.
