I can't figure out why this team struggles shooting so much on the road. 58 points and 27% from 3 against a team that gives up 70+ per game.

Gutsy effort but we fall a little short. Hopefully we can still make top 4 in regular season and get that bye. But if Erica is out for any more games, it may not matter much anyway.

Kind of beside the point, but why don't Rice athletic accounts on social media ever give injury updates? It takes little to no effort to find out if Erica is injured or what Austin's injury was, etc. Almost every other college basketball twitter account does it.

HIPAA

HIPAA has absolutely nothing to do with it. Nobody is asking for medical specifics, merely a active/inactive and high level details if injury related or not.

Unless HIPAA applies only to Rice? Must be.

Yeah, I'm not asking for files or anything crazy. For example, Creighton tweeted yesterday: "Ronnie Harrell Jr. will not play this afternoon (foot)." I'm sure somebody in Rice athletics could figure out a way to give an update on the best player on our team.

For what it’s worth, we still control our destiny for the top 4 seed and the bye. And have our last two at home. IMO we HAVE to have that bye for any chance at the title.

Whatever you want to think. Ask a Rice athletic trainer and see if they will discuss a player's injury status.

Continue building straw men arguments, why not?

No one said ask a trainer. Read the posts before you and see. Why is Creighton able to say player x is out for today (foot) and we cannot?

Then again, you've defended the status quo for years, so I don't see much value in this discussion. Elw4796 flat out pointed the flaws in your argument.

What next, the reason our 2 deep rosters took so long to update last year was HIPAA and us not wanting to reveal who was most likely to get injured next?

Next...And while were at it, let's report the whole NCAA for HIPAA violations so they all get disqualified and we win the NC.

Call Rice. Ask why they don't disclose injuries. That's the easiest way to find out. Let us know what you find out.

RE: WBB at UTSA
Why would they disclose such information? I have not heard of universities disclosing the type of injury to players unless it is major.

I'm confident it will be the only HIPAA that applies just to Rice. Especially given every one else seems to have no problems doing it.

Any more excuses you want to preemptively queue up?

RE: WBB at UTSA
I noticed that WBB and MBB play two double headers back to back at Tudor this week. Was this intentionally done or a screw up by Conf USA. I would understand one of these but two makes no sense for attendance.
