Rice vs Stanford Game 2
With game 2 approaching, Graham seems to not have a consistent DH he particularly likes with Dom and Dunlap being hurt. With that being said, tonight’s DH will be different than game one’s and the role will be given to Brandt Frazier.

Interesting, as I would have thought Wayne would have gone with a left-hander against Stanford's ace RHP. Perhaps, Cody Staab? I will agree that Aviles has been overmatched in his 3 - 4 ABs so far, and he struggled mightily in intrasquads.

Walt,

I don’t believe Cody Staab traveled to Stanford. I agree that Graham usually loves his match ups when it comes to pitching, but I believe Frazier is a good choice for DH and should get the job done.

Cox is a serious liability in LF.

Tied up now. Owls with 2 on and 2 out in T5. Stanford starter's pitch count is pretty high.

2-2 headed to the bottom of the 5th. Beck at 93 pitches for Stanford. Canterino 49 pitches (thru 4).

Stanford hitter stretches a little single to left center into a double. Ball looked like it got to second before the runner. Odd TV angle. Called safe

I'm really impressed with Canterino. Great command and very efficient. A little better fielding and we're up 2-0.

Tuned in late. What was the fielding problem?

Stanford with a solo HR to left. Seemed like an odd pitch. Inside and up.. I think. The batter turned on it just right.
