New poll out since Parkland shooting. Nothing really changed from before the shooting.

Among adults who trust the government to fairly enforce gun control laws, 52% think stricter gun laws will decrease violent crime. Adults who lack trust in the government to enforce gun laws are more evenly divided.

also cites a survey saying most voters say there should be a ban on semi-automatic and assault weapons. Its from june of 16 and probably oversampled dems by 30%. I'm not a subscriber so I can't see the actual poll.
