I remember Pastners team getting smoked in the tourney by them with Joe Harris and Justin Anderson I think.

I got banned from the board at halftime of that game when I suddenly realized Pastner sucked and would never take us anywhere, and posted that.

I feel vindicated now.

Our last appearance in the NCAA Tournament.

I think we would have played Virginia last season had we not lost to Providence. Instead, we got Iowa, whom we actually beat.

lol

I remember the camera going into the pregame locker room and the players looked anything but ready.

I almost puked. Pastner's speech was so bad.

I was at the game. We were so overmatched, it was terrible.

Normally, in order to "boost recruiting," wins need to come against teams still in the top 25 after you beat 'em.

Maybe if Tubby could've had the chance to play a team like, well-- let's just throw out maybe if Tubby could've coached the team against Cincinnati earlier this year?

Now, THAT would've been a great chance to show recruits how well it could be to play for a Tubby-coached team playing against top-ten competition!

Oh, wait...

C'mon man you have to admit beating Houston with a bunch of new jucos and no Martin is impressive. Tigers have a little mojo going. Not sure how these high schoolers think, but it's reasonable for them to believe Tubby could make them better, based on his coaching this season.

I have to admit that Tubby is one of the best coaches of JuCo-level talent that Memphis has ever had.

In fact, I think Tubby could probably win the JuCo Championship this year!

Is there also like a Tigerfire4?

You know, like where there's Tigersmoke4 there's Tigerfire4?

I would say that bartow and calipari were the best

IMO, Kirk was the best coach we've ever had here.

Do you remember when he use to say “It’s a biggie biggie”?

Or to the fans, “lace your shoes up tight and sit on the edge of your seat”?

He was lots of fun.

I agree, Kirk was the best. He was a great, great teacher. His teams ran offenses and defense like a machine. Turner would call out the plays on the fly. He helped make Hank McDowell a NBA player. I wish we could find another Dana Kirk type coach. Maybe Tubby will get er done.

That was some accomplishment by Andre considering Hank was in NBA during Andre’s senior year in HS.
