LET'S KICK IT OFF!
Attention Eastern Football Season Ticket Holder! Please join us at Rynearson Stadium on Saturday, August 11, from 9:00 a.m.-10:30 a.m. for our exclusive 2018 football season ticket holder kickoff event! You are welcome to bring your family and friends to this event to get your first look at 2018 EMU Football.
Your 2018 season tickets and season ticket holder gifts will be available for pick up inside of Gate 2. For those who choose not to pick up their season tickets, they will be mailed out Mid-August in time for the home opener. Each season ticket holder will also receive one slice of pizza from Little Caesars, the official pizza provider of your Eastern Michigan Eagles! Additional pizza and beverages will be available for purchase.

I’m kinda bummed by this. I thought they would have improved off of last year. 1 slice of pizza at 9am come on man!

You're right, pathetic. Plus, it's 1 slice from Little Caesars. Like, really? I might just buy my own.

Although...I don't think Little Cleezers opens up at 9 am. So, that's a treat!

I find it humorous people are complaining about the one slice of pizza. Come on, man! EMU is basically giving away premium season tickets for a mere $150. Moreover, I believe the least costly package is what $70 to watch "good" D1 football!!! This is the best bargain in town!!

EMU needs to get off the free train and start charging fair prices for Football and basketball. Both of these teams will have a chance to win their conference championships and you won't find better ticket prices to watch D1 competition!!

I'm sorry, but I'd rather not have any party if they give you one slice of pizza and a drink.

Would you invite people to a party and not provide them food and drink? It's the gesture of it all. Plus, it's 9 am. Have some fun with brunch or something. Eagle Omlette, Idk.

It’s that and the fact that they always ask for our opinions on how they can improve. This based on the information in the email seems like a step back from last years event. In a time when the team is taking massive strides forward.

And no ticket prices cannot rise yet.

Here is the 2018 coaches' pre-season rankings. Only SDSU (approximately 40th ranked) got more than one vote.

Army and NIU got 1 vote each. Purdue - none???

Mr. Sutton Smith (NIU) will eat up a lot of LTs again this year. I have the tape of our 2017 game and he was unblockable.

RE: 2018 Football Schedule
Sounds like season tickets should be in the mail/already delivered. Have other folks received theirs?

I called to give my new address to the ticket office to mail the tickets, and they said they would "reprint" the tickets and have them sent, suggesting they were already printed and mailed.

Per our Director of Ticket Sales Jeff Czachowski, this season we hit an all-time high in season tickets sold.

Golden ticket? Is this a play off of the Factory theme?

I think Luckey was joking, guys.

No golden ticket for me. But we did get concessions vouchers for a free item every game.

Just don't take the everlasting gobstopper with that voucher.

RE: 2018 Football Schedule
Just got an email on season tickets with this info for people who couldn't attend the season tix holder event, like me:

"If you didn't already pick-up your season ticket holder gifts at the kick-off event on August 11th, football season ticket holder gift pick-up will be located at a table inside the Convocation Center atrium next to window 8. Available there for football season ticket holders will be Block E drink coasters (4 per account) and Block E drink koozies (4 per account). Also available for pick up will be EMU football t-shirts (1 per season ticket) for those season ticket holders who purchased their seats before the deadline on June 30th, 2018. T-shirt sizes remaining range from S-XL. If you would like to avoid lines on game day to pick up your gifts, please feel free to stop by the EMU Athletics ticket office, Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. to pick them up early. We will have gift pick-up available through the Toledo game on Oct. 13."

It also stated that this was an all-time high for season tix sales. I've got a feeling that program optimism is a part of that. Also, there are people rallying around the football program after the other sports were cut earlier this year.

They've also been much more active in calling lapsed ticket holders, reaching out to prospective ticket buyers, reaching out to companies, etc.

Part of ticket operations was outsourced to The Aspire Group a year or two ago, and it seems to be paying off.

You nailed it again Frank. I played Radrick Farms golf course today and while it was nice, business operations pale when compared to Eagle Crest. U-M runs their own course while EMU contracts with someone else to run their golf operation.
