How would the tie breaker come down? Would the then official number one be the only auto NIT?
I actually think we’d fall to 3rd. The tiebreaker would be the H2H record between the teams tied. We’d be 1-2. WKU would be 2-2. MTSU would be 2-1.
Now, if we beat WKU, WKU beats MTSU, Marshall beats MTSU, and UAB beats WKU, we’re in business.

I was just thinking about this. How much do you think it has hurt us this year having Charlotte as our travel partner? Obviously, we have been very succesful this year, but how much more difficult have our Saturday games been because the team we're playing basically had Thursday night off, especially when the Saturday oppenent is one of the conference leaders? This week is a good example. WKU will be physically, mentally and emotionally rested after easing to a win over Charlotte while we are coming off a hard fought win over Marshall -- and this has happened regularly throughout the conference schedule.

Yup, sad but true.

RE: ODU vs Marshall & WKU
Both conference losses were at home on Thursday nights. Middle and WKU. This is by far our toughest test on a Saturday road game coming up. Senior night for WKU as well. We should be 4 or 5 point underdogs in this one.

Not so worried about who WK just played. We just took Marshall's best shot and won. Let's take WK best sot and still beat them. That will send a message!

Maybe I'm confused, but if we beat WKU they will have 3 conference losses. That puts them squarely in third and they would need help to move up.

Truth. That’s what I get for taking monarx at his word.

I don't know how much effect it really had. Another way to look at it is maybe UNCC lulled them into a false sense of performance level. But since this is the second time we've met that effect is somewhat muted.

Brandan and Trey were simply a joy to watch last night. It wasn't fair what they were doing to Marshall!
