RE: Scott Berry to MSU?
Kendall Rogers said in the chat yesterday that he thinks it’s either McDonnell, Corbin, or Schlossnagle. We’ll see.

Out of those 3, I’d say McDonnell definitely concerns me the most. He took over an awful Louisville program and has turned them into a powerhouse. They had been to one regional ever prior to his arrival. Him going to a school that actually cares about baseball is scary.

Corbin and Schlossnagle both turned around bad programs as well, but at private schools. Which means they have a much easier time getting around the 11.7 scholarship number. Let’s see what they can do at a public school in a non-lottery state.

Or better yet, who cares? I mean it's not like Berry is gonna be poached so why should any of us care who the hell MSU hires? When we play them next year with a new coach we're gonna beat their ass again.

They’re an in-state school that we play yearly. It’s of interest.

Now you're on the right path.

Absolutely cannot see Corbin or Schlossnagle leaving unlimited scholarships in places where they’ve built powers.

I still can’t see McDonnell. Ole Miss people claim that he is too close with Bianco to take it but money talks. After thinking about it more, I don’t know how much Jurich going down affects this decision.

I wouldn't be surprised if McDonnell made the jump. For some reason MSt and UL interchange coaches in multiple sports. It's like an athletic swing party with them two.

Bianco has a son playing at Louisville. Wonder if that factors in McDonnell's decision.

I don't get why State is probably going to get a top 10 coach but schools like Texas and South Carolina had to settle for coaches at mid-majors. I know their AD is a baseball guy, but so is South Carolina's AD, and they ended up with the HC at USF.

Just depends how much they are willing to pay.

For a lot of P5 schools, I think we are beyond a point at which it doesn’t even make financial sense to spend so much money on baseball. Who knows what Cohen will be willing to throw at someone.
