I had the same thing happen... Someone said "military guns", I asked them which military had standard issue semi automatic rifles...
Blank stares.
They should simplify this and ban all guns that look mean.

"These are ammunition, they are bullets, so the people who have those now, they're going to shoot them, so if you ban them in the future, the number of these high capacity magazines is going to decrease dramatically over time because the bullets will have been shot and there won't be any more available."
The loudest in the anti gun movement are hilariously ignorant of how a gun works.

Ermigosh.
Is that a real quote, by a real person?
Or part of another bad SNL skit?

Either going to work requires a full lobotomy or we need a new system of promoting general officers in the US Army because retired Lt Gen Mark Hertling makes the list.
Quote:In case you missed it, last night CNN aired a video of an “up-close and personal look at an AR-15” featuring CNN military analyst Mark Hertling, a retired Lieutenant General.
During the video, Hertling says he’s going to shoot the AR-15 in “full semi-automatic” mode.
When confronted with this massive error he compounds his ignorance on Twitter

The general, like so many of our recent higher-ranking officers, is probably a leftist, Obama hack. He is anti-guns for civilians and instead of having an honest debate on the subject, he parades his rank out there as some type of approval of his knowledge on the subject. He knows better. But, his words are intentional and used to create a false narrative regarding guns.

Have you seen the video of him shooting the rifle at the range with the added theatrics?

Well, except for the fact that the Second Amendment and resulting legal rulings are pretty clear and the data behind climate science can be interpreted however you want to interpret it.
I'd say the opposite. The interpretation of the second amendment is open for much debate, how the hell are we supposed to have a well armed militia capable of resisting tyranny if we can't have fully automatic weapons? The US military has armed drones and laser guided missiles. Our second amendment rights have already been stomped on and yet an appeals court has already decided that AR-15's aren't constitutionally protected. How the hell can you say there's clarity? Hell its law we're talking about, a contract among fellow citizens. It's very nature is to be debated.
Science on the other hand seeks the discovery of fact. Either the planet is warming or its not (it is), either human activity is contributing to it or it's not (it is). Pretty much all the climate science available points in one direction, to not see that is to be....what's the saying?....willfully ignorant.
LOL
There's very few people out there that deny that the climate is indeed warming.
There's also no absolute proof that man is contributing to it. There's ton of speculation, much of it being pawned off as "settled science", but there's no indisputable proof that confirms it. The facts are we are in a similar warming period as was experienced between 250-400 BC, a time where there were no internal combustion engines to blame.
A mere 10,000 years ago Canada was covered in a sheet of ice over a mile thick. Think about that. 10,000 years is the blink of an eye in geologic terms.
Unfortunately, that mile thick sheet of ice melted leaving behind millions of Canadian liberals like Justin Trudeau.
Its going to be funny to watch these little twerps take on the NRA thinking they are going to abolish 2A and lose. To borrow and slightly alter one of the liberal talking points -- "you're on the wrong side of the constitution, kiddos"

To date, at least in this century, there have been no weapons of war used in mass shootings. AR-15's are not used on the battlefield. Debunking your tripe is as easy as shooting fish in a barrel. Nice try though, do play again, but only after educating yourself about firearms.
It's a bolt action .22 rimfire. A damn squirrel hunting gun.
But it LOOKS skeery!
As in, kinda cool to a 18 year old young man...
A gateway weapon for sure
Gateway to what? Responsible gun use and ownership? Let's hope!
But, wait. I didn't think "Gateways" were a thing? The dope isn't a gateway drug to anything else, right?
Even though EVERY..... SINGLE....PERSON I know that got mixed up in coke, crack, heroin, opioids whatever else all started with the dope first. Funny thing, that.
