I personally have that old feeling. Blaine's teams tended to stumble early and peak towards the tournament. I think this team will do the same. We will not lose again going into Frisco.

To heck with all the negativity here and the idiotic Marshall posters. So what they have their center back. They still don't play much D. And our offense is scoring the best ball we've seen in many many years. Could my optimism change on one bad game? Of course it can. Will it? Not in the regular season.

I'm cautiously optimistic as well.

But I remember that we had a little hot streak going at the end of last year but seemed to max out after the UTEP win and got thrashed at UTSA. Then the first round exit to Marshall after falling by behind something like 20 - 2.

But we're much hotter now than we were then, so let's keep it going.

I rarely visit other teams boards so I don't know what they're saying, but I can understand their optimism of they only lost by 6 at our place and they have their center back. Even if they are aware that we are hot right now, they know we still have to bring it to their place. UTSA was on fire and beat WKU before we trounced them. We have played well on the road so I'm not too concerned about a letdown but there is always that fear in the back of your mind. I'm just so excited about how we're playing right now. It's an excitement and anticipation I haven't felt for a long time.

I've given up trying to maker any rational prediction on these games, especially being on the road. Just watch, and hopefully, enjoy.

I honestly don't know what to expect, winning both, losing both, or splitting the games all seem as likely as the other to me. Obviously hoping for both wins, won't be terribly surprised if we lose both, should be fun either way

I'm more concerned with Burks than Elmore.

Speaking on our recent performances, UTEP is bad, but UTSA is no slouch and La Tech at home can be tough. We're playing very well now.

We’re definitely playing exceptional right now. And what I love most about this year’s team is we have not lost to any weaker conference opponents - zero letdowns. We’re going to need to keep it up if we want to have a shot at the title.

I think OD was thinking of the La. Tech game on Stadium Facebook, where there was more talk about dog photos than the game in the first half.
