Arkansas State game
Mediocrity X 2. "Not quite as bad as they are" should win the game.

RE: Arkansas State game
From the official preview:

ON YOUR MARC-US
Junior Ben Marcus has quietly emerged as a reliable presence in the paint for Little Rock this season. Marcus has made 58 of his 79 shots on the year, a 73.4 percent shooting average, which would lead the Sun Belt if he had met the minimum. The Pine Bluff native currently would shatter the Trojans' single season field goal percentage record of .650, set by Ryan Moss in 1997-98, but needs to take 11 more shots over the final five-plus games of the season to reach the 90 field goals attempted minimum.

RE: Arkansas State game
I was going to post earlier that the excitement for this matchup is "overwhelming". Hadn't been a post about the game on our board or the ASU board up until you posted. They looked clearly better than us in Little Rock. We had actually been playing well leading up to that game- beat UTA, lost to TxSt on a buzzer beater. We are playing worse now, although the same can be said about them. We both have dismissed our leading scorers. Seems like they may have a little more "talent" and/or experienced players. Seems like the matchup will be "interesting" if nothing else.

Rivalry games are always fun regardless.

And I can't recall a time that there hasn't been a mention of the game in the Democrap paper a day or two before the game. But, bad teams don't get or deserve much publicity. Think about this Chasse when you can't sleep at night. I'd bet he wishes he'd done a coaching search.

May be some truth to that, except if you are the hogs. They'll have half of the sports section no matter what their record.

The sad truth is no one gives a damn about a team that has won five games this late in the year.

Nice win. Good to have those every once in a while. Huge night by Reedus. No defense once again, but we killed them on the boards. Big night by Bankston and Lottie.

At one point we had 4 freshman and a sophomore on the floor. Still see a light at the end of the for our program.

RE: Arkansas State game
Really a nice effort tonight against a team that is a little more talented than us. We saved our bacon with key, pressure-packed free throws. We have two home game this week that I believe our winnable. Will we win one or both? I have no clue. But, a 3 game winning streak would certainly make me feel a lot better about a team that has everyone coming back (obviously this can be very good thing, or a bad thing).

Every team needs a go-to guy, and we may have found it in Reedus.
