Football Season Tickets
If this has been addressed, my apologies, but does anyone know if a Football season packet is going to be mailed out this year? Or is it all online at this point? I love getting it all in the mail. Perhaps waiting for final schedule to be done?

I sure hope we get the mailings. I prefer that as well.

Football Season Tickets
It will be sent in a few short weeks. Right now, those itching to renew can do it online. I already told the HAF people (as if they really care) that I'm not renewing unless there are at least 4 Saturday games. So, I'm waiting until the schedule is released.

I agree with this. I want to see the schedule first.

Thanks Dogfan- the weekday games honestly do not bother me, but I understand the frustration and appreciate the drag they can do on a fan base over the years when it becomes excessive.

I will say the teams coming in are an exciting lineup of games. If we can somehow get out of Iowa with a W I think Huskie Stadium will be the most filled and fired up in long time for the Utah game.

You won't be renewing then. I hear from a very reliable source that we have 3 Sat. home games.

I have no doubt. There will be at least one midweek night game in November, plus the Friday morning after Thanksgiving game. That leaves 3 games remaining. My concern is also that the Utah game may be on a weeknight or possibly one more MAC game. And no matter what anyone at NIU says, they have little control over the schedule. TV dominates.

TV ..the blessing & the curse. 5 home games is all for this upcoming season. We will hopefully make 4 of them .

cant imagine that Utah would want to play a non weekend game either although they are not going to have any say in the scheduling but if that game is not a weekend date whoever is selling season tickets job will have just got 2X as hard

Maybe we'll be lucky and the game will be played on a Saturday and televised on CBSSN. I just cannot imagine ESPN letting us get away with no midweek night home game so they have a venue to promote their big Saturday SEC games. I would be shocked if that were to happen, but that's the only way we'd get more than 3 Saturday games. Personally, I don't mind the Black Friday game (even at 11:00 a.m.) even though I'd have to go to the game by myself. (Maybe I'll just ask NIU007 to stop by and sit on my lap to keep us both warm!)

Surprised you don't already have someone else to sit on your lap.

I'm not optimistic we'll be able to keep the Utah game on Saturday either. That's one game I bet some people who are only casual fans would go to that game, if on a Saturday.

This is my feeling, too - but just a feeling. And if we have a midweek night game in addition to the Black Friday game, this would give us 2 Saturday games. But at this point, it's just a guess. Maybe we'll find out in a few weeks when the schedule is released. Hope we don't have to find out in the Chronicle from unnamed sources.

The game on multiple websites is listed for Saturday, September 8.

So here we are, in 2018, 6 and 1/2 months away and they supposedly don't have a date set? WTF is the matter with them?

Do they not think people make plans this far in advance, namely the visitor from 2000 miles away? Hell, I mean our P5 opponents have sold out nearly all rooms in their towns. And that's a few more rooms than DeKalb's what, 6 hotels? I mean is NIU that powerful to just tell a P5 school what day we will play you AFTER a date is given and we are 6 months out? Just another example of what is wrong with NIU, TV contracts and the way sporting teams, now universities think of their fans. Dealing with a school that can't figure out dates for games because they are waiting for TV (conf?) what to do. I sure as hell hope not.

But then again, NIUs football page doesn't list a date. What a joke.

RE: Football Season Tickets
Got my renewal packet for season tickets in today's mail.

Tickets for Iowa game $50 - you must be a season ticket holder AND a HAF donor to buy tickets.

FSU tickets $35 You must be a season ticket holder to buy tickets.

BYU tickets $35 You must be a season ticket holder.

Jeez. I was hoping to go to Iowa game. These are really sh*tty conditions. Won't that limit attendance by NIU fans - especially those who live outside the area? What genius came up with that idea. 03-banghead

Yet again another shot at the “common ticket holder”.
I’m so tired of this inept administration.
