He’s been mentioned as a possibility.

Dude knows basketball. You can tell he knows the game by how he explains and breaks things down.

The dude has no eyebrows though. It looks weird.

He couldn't win at Indiana. No thanks.

If I wanted to hire a hedge creeper, I might go the Crean route.

Otherwise, no.

True. But no one has won big at Indiana since Bob Knight. Mike Davis had one good year with Knights players and then flames out. Kelvin Sampson was incredibly mediocre and cheated his butt off. I’m not saying Crean did better, I’m just saying maybe that job isn’t what it used to be.

Agree, I do not want a fired retread. I prefer an aggressive, young, hard working driven coach with strong PR and recruiting skills and some experience as a high profile AC at least and is willing to mitigate his weaknesses with a solid staff.

How about Dan Hurley of Rhode Island? He seems to have built some pretty good teams in a difficult place to attract recruits. It looks like his total compensation is currently around $600K.

He's the reason Kentucky won't play Indiana anymore.
The Big 10 is a decent conference...the years he was coaching he had to go up against the likes of Michigan and Wisconsin...and Ohio State teams

I keep going back to St. Louis and Travis Ford.
He has built some excitement around that program with his recruits in their second year (rebuild project...kinda like us)

I could see him coaching at UConn next season...that would be a good fit.

Mark Gottfried or Andy Kennedy to East Carolina.

Forbes takes the Mississippi job.

Well those teams are still in the B10 ( that may come as a surprise to you) which is the most overrated conference in the nation. No National Championships since ZBo team in 2000. Law of averages would give them around 3 during that 18 year period.
