Rachel Vigil Named On-Air Talent and Broadcasting Coordinator
Quote:DENVER – Rachel Vigil has been hired as the On-Air Talent and Broadcasting Coordinator at the Western Athletic Conference. She began work at the WAC on February 12.
Vigil is responsible for assisting the coordination of content creation, creating promotional and highlight video packages, editing, and serving as a videographer, editor and on-air talent for the WAC studio show and on-site sideline reporter for the WAC Digital Network at select championships.
Vigil graduated from Colorado State University with a bachelor's degree in journalism and mass communication in December of 2017. During her time at CSU, she was the on-court host for the men’s and women’s basketball programs. She also worked as an assistant video producer for the CSU athletic department and as a reporter and anchor for the Rocky Mountain student media.
Vigil also completed internships at Denver news stations KUSA, FOX31 and Channel 2, as well as at KKTV in Colorado Springs, Colo.
She will continue working at CSU.

The WAC cementing itself as a leader in sports broadcasting. No offense meant to Rachel, but in most conferences such a position would not be an entry level position for someone with a new degree and internship experience.
Even so, maybe she can up the level of production.

It will never be a long term position for anyone, anyway. Not with what the WAC pays.
